An older gentleman visited my studio quite frequently. He wanted me to paint a horse to an electric box located in his neighbourhood. He adored Kristin Robert's painting since it reminded him of his best horse. He wanted me to create something similar. I contacted Kristin and she kindly gave me permission to use her painting as a reference. So this Balboa-painting was born. It is my appreciation to Finnish trotting race horse legend Balboa.
